Nyla J. Glover
The Founder

Built by a mother.
For every mother.

Wellness architect. Author. Former dancer. The Grounded Builder. The woman who built the thing she needed and never had.

The Story

Nyla J. Glover

Nyla J. Glover is a wellness architect, author, and former dancer. New Jersey born, New York bred — Washington DC became her second home and the launchpad for everything she has built.

Her dance training took her to some of the most prestigious institutions in the country — the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York, the Duke Ellington School of the Arts Panoramic Dance Program in Washington DC, and Jacob's Pillow in Massachusetts where she studied under legends like Chet Walker and Donald McKayle. She has performed at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

In parallel with her performing arts career, Nyla pursued a deep education in wellness — earning her Mind Body Wellness Practitioner certification from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, covering holistic health, holistic nutrition, yoga therapy, life coaching, and hypnotherapy.

She spent years watching mothers disappear into the role — lose the thread of who they were before kids, before the schedules, before the invisible labor that nobody sees and everybody depends on. She lived it herself. And she refused to accept that this was just what motherhood was supposed to feel like.

She is a Grounded Builder — her own archetype — which means she leads with structure, builds with intention, and sometimes has to remind herself that flexibility is not a threat. Everything she has built through This Mom-ish comes from that blueprint.

"I stopped waiting for someone to build what mothers need. So I built it myself."

Her Archetype

The Grounded Builder

Wound: Flexibility. She builds with intention, leads with structure, and creates things that last. The Grounded Builder is the woman who will not stop until it is done right — and who is learning that done right and done perfectly are not the same thing.

Niecy — Named for Her Mother

The AI companion at the heart of This Mom-ish is named for Nyla's late mother, Denise Lynn — "Lady D, Diva D." A woman who passed at 48. Before she could see what her daughter would build. Niecy exists in her honor. Every feature, every word of support Niecy offers is rooted in the spirit of a woman who knew that mothers deserve more than they are given.

The Mission

Motherhood should not cost you yourself.

That is not a tagline. That is the thing that woke Nyla up at 3am and would not let her rest until she built something about it.
